Plock1web

ConVoco, the Biogasmax partner leading the transfer of knowledge in Poland and new member states, have recently invited to Poland a group of international experts to talk with interested cities about today's challenges in the area of transport as part of sustainable urban development. The conference gathered representatives from fourteen countries, including high level officials from 20 cities from the new member states and from the neighbouring countries of the EU. The event was carried out under the auspices of Poland's Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Infrastructure, and with input from the European Commission.

Sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas about strategies for sustainable urban transport, including the concept of exploitation of biomethane as a vehicle fuel, was the main goal of the conference, which was organised together with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research and with CIFAL Płock and was held in the city of Płock on the 30th August 2010. ConVoco, the Biogasmax partner leading the event, would like to thank the Polish Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Infrastructure, as well as DG MOVE of the European Commission for supporting the event.
